Car Insurance Infiniti (Car Insurance). I have a 1968 ford galaxie 4door can i fit door panels on it from a 1967?

I have a 1968 ford galaxie 4door can i fit door panels on it from a 1967? I Have a 68 ford galaxie custom 500 4door and I'm looking to change the door panels and maybe the other interior items would the interior from the 1967 model fit the 1968??

They are similar in design and I believe share the same dash with some minor changes. I would say they fit but there might be some minor differences. I would check with somewhere like MAC Auto in NY since they sell all types of parts for Ford Galaxies. As you know the Custom interior is a little bland compared to the Galaxie 500. I would say switching interiors around with a 1968 LTD might even be better if you can find one. Of course best way to tell the 67 from the 68 interior is try it if you can. The door line on the 67 and the 68 is the same at the driver door. Good luck with the car, the Custom is actually pretty rare. Hi, I found a link where u can try. http://boxee.info/186853/interior-itemGooooood luck (:

Infiniti . How to Derestrict a Yamaha Jog R Scooter

Destricting your Yamaha Jog R scooter will increase its top speed, making it faster and safer to operate on larger roads. A small washer located in the scooter's variator case restricts your Jog R scooter's top speed. Removing this washer will allow the pulley system in your variator case to operate at full potential, allowing your scooter to accelerate faster and drive at a greater speed.
Difficulty:Challenging
Instructions Things You'll Need
Socket wrench
Impact wrench
Pliers

Step by Step :
1
Take the kickstand off of the left side of the scooter. You will need to loosen the hex nut at the point where the kickstand attaches to the variator case. You will then need to pull the end of the hex nut up, which will disengage its connection to the variator case, allowing you to pull the kickstand off the case.
2
Unscrew the two bolts holding the intake cover in place, giving you access to the variator case.
3
Remove the bolts holding the metal lid of the variator case in place. The lid is held in place by six bolts, three on top and three on bottom. Unscrew them with a socket wrench, and set the lid and bolts aside.
4
Unscrew the center bolt attached to the front pulley wheel in the variator case. You will need an impact wrench to remove this bolt, as a regular socket wrench will merely cause the front wheel to turn as you attempt to unscrew the bolt.
5
Remove the faceplate, the bolt from the front pulley wheel along with the two other mechanical pieces attached to it. These pieces include a spacing washer and a mechanical piece that looks like a fattened washer with teeth on one side. This piece connects the pulley wheel to the starter. The four pieces should fit together.
6
Remove the washer off of the rod revealed when you took the faceplate off the front pulley.
7
Put the variator case back together.
Tips & Warnings
Reregister your Jog R scooter with the DMV after you've removed the restricting washer. Removing the washer will increase your scooter's top speed, requiring you to acquire an M class license in order to operate it legally in most states.

Infiniti . How to Derestrict an Eton Beamer Scooter

Destricting your Eton Beamer scooter improves the top speed and acceleration potential of your scooter and doesn't cost you a thing. The Eton Beamer, like most motorized scooters, are restricted by a small washer located in the variator system of the scooter. Removing this washer allows your scooter to travel faster at both initial acceleration and while cruising.
Difficulty:Challenging
Instructions Things You'll Need
Socket wrench
Strap wrench
Impact wrench
Pliers

Step by Step :
1
Loosen the nut attaching the kickstand to the variator box using a pair of pliers. You cannot completely unscrew the nut, but loosening it allows you to pull it up, which enables you to remove the kickstand from the variator box.
2
Remove the two bolts holding the plastic intake cover over the variator box using a socket wrench. The two bolts are located on opposite sides of the plastic cover. Unscrew the six bolts holding the lid of the variator case down. The six bolts are located relatively equidistance from each other around the edge of the box and can be removed with a socket wrench.
3
Unscrew the six bolts holding the lid of the variator case down. The six bolts are located relatively equidistance from each other around the edge of the box and can be removed with a socket wrench.
4
Secure the front pulley wheel in the variator box with a strap wrench. Wrap the loop of the strap wrench around the wheel, and secure it tightly, then wedge the handle of the wrench under the rear wheel.
5
Crack and remove the bolt holding down the front plate on the secured pulley wheel using a socket wrench or an impact wrench. Remove the two mechanical components -- a spacing washer and a metal piece marrying your pulley wheel to the scooter's starter mechanism -- with the bolt.
6
Remove the plate from the front wheel by hand.
7
Pull the restricting washer off of the front pulley rod by hand.
8
Reassemble your variator system in reverse order.
Tips & Warnings
Removing the restricting washer from your variator system, though legal, could cause your Eton to jump classes from a 49-cc scooter and below to a 50-cc scooter and above. This could require you to apply for and obtain a Class M license, depending on what state you live in.

The beauty of a fuel cell is that it takes the place of a storage battery and produces electricity directly from a plentiful element: hydrogen. Once perfected, fuel cell-electric cars will have the range and "refill-ability" of gasoline-powered cars. Of course, the method of getting hydrogen to the car in the first place is still up in the air. 156 Part II: What Makes It Go?. Figure 7-13: A fuel cell. One method would require construction of thousands of hydrogen filling stations where motorists would pull in to fill their cars' tanks with either liquid or gaseous hydrogen. Still to be resolved, of course, is how to finance construction of such a delivery system or infrastructure. The industry also has not yet settled on what form of hydrogen to use. Gaseous hydrogen, like CNG, would have to be stored in tanks that could withstand thousands of pounds of pressure. But liquid hydrogen has to be stored at unbelievably cold temperatures — 423 degrees below 0 — and then must be warmed up to function properly in a fuel cell. A fuel-cell electric car that ran directly on hydrogen would produce virtually no emissions — the only thing dribbling out of the tailpipe would be a trickle of distilled water formed in the interaction of the hydrogen and oxygen inside the cell! But because of the problems inherent in getting hydrogen to cars, some in the industry are considering another type of system. It appears that the hydrogen needed for a fuel cell to operate can be produced on-board a car or truck, distilled, if you will, from a hydrocarbon fuel such as gasoline, methanol, or ethanol. The process requires the fuel to be turned into a vapor under high heat. That process produces carbon monoxide and a few other pollutants, so it isn't as clean as a system that uses hydrogen directly, but it's still far cleaner than an internal combustion engine. . Chapter 7: Diesels and Alternatively Powered Vehicles f C *7 Those problems aside, the cells that industry uses are far too large for automobiles, and a good deal of work has gone into figuring out how to shrink them. Automakers have developed fuel cells that are small enough to put into test vehicles, although they are still 30 to 50 percent too heavy for commercial use. They still are about 10 times too costly to be considered for commercial use. But their time is coming. DaimlerChrysler has said that it will have fuel cell cars in the retail market by 2004. And the other major automakers won't be far behind. 384 Car Insurance 1996 eagle summit esisedan4d 371442

Operating an electric Vehicle After automakers conquer the problems of how best to produce the electricity that an electric car needs, the rest is pretty easy. The electrics on the market today handle remarkably well and can hold their own on busy freeways. They're not the cars to take on a long trip, but for commuting and most daily use, they're no different from their gasoline-powered cousins once you get past the fact that there's no engine under the hood and that you don't have to pull into a gas station unless you have to use the restroom or you get a nail in one of the special, low-rolling resistance tires. What is under the hood is a powerful electric motor — all the necessary wires and plumbing, plus all the equipment for conventional heating and air conditioning, power brakes, and power steering. You even find a conventional 12-volt battery to provide start-up power and keep the clock, power locks, and other electrically controlled devices in operation when the power plant is shut down. Inside, an electric car looks much the same as any other. (All but the EV-1 started life as conventional ICE vehicles and were modified to become electrics.) The biggest difference is on the instrument panel. Instead of a fuel gauge that shows how full the tank is, electric vehicles have digital readouts that show how much charge is left in the battery and how economically — or not — you are driving. And those with regenerative braking systems have a gauge or readout that shows when power is being generated and stored. (Regenerative braking uses the energy of the braking action to generate electricity to replace a very small part of what is consumed when accelerating.) Several electric cars also have a readout that estimates the number of miles remaining before they run out of juice. Some, like Nissan's Altra EV, also have a digital tachometer that tells you how fast the electric motor is revolving. And it's much faster than the crankshaft in a gasoline-fueled car! Driving down the freeway at 74 mph and glancing down at the tach to see that you're cruising at 16,000 rpm is unsettling! 158 Part II: What Makes It Go?. The other oddity — and it's fun to watch the guys at the car wash try to figure this out — is that an electric vehicle doesn't do much of anything when the key is turned on. Sometimes a small cooling fan kicks in, and the "On" or "Ready" indicator light on the dashboard lights up. But that's it. No roar, no sputter. Pump the accelerator all you want; you get no action. An electric motor doesn't rev up until you engage the transmission. When you engage the transmission, you send a signal to the motor controller, which boosts the voltage to the motor in response to the pressure you place on the accelerator (which looks and feels just like a gas pedal). As the volt

age increases, the motor spins faster. The power is transmitted to the drive axle through a series of gears, just as the power from a conventional vehicle's revolving crankshaft is transmitted. (If you've forgotten how it does that, review Chapter 4.) The difference is that, because an electric vehicle delivers full torque at all times, the transmission has only a single speed. There's no need to shift into higher or lower gears to increase the motor's efficiency. So it's a simple matter of getting in, turning the key, shifting into Forward or Reverse, and driving away. You may see a cloud of dust — it depends on where you parked — but you won't see a cloud of fumes or hear a rumble of exhaust. Just the whine of an electric motor ramping up. Many problems must be overcome before the gasoline-driven internal combustion engine is relegated to museums and classic car collections. But the industry and various governments are spending billions of dollars to develop functional electric and hybrid vehicles for personal use. The Car of the Future is a matter of when, not whether. It may already be on the road by the time you read this book! Chapter 8
